Itinerary: 6 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga

1. Day 1

   Marrakech – Atlas Mountains and Ouarzazate

   Your 6 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We leave the city behind and start our journey through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains toward the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

   Along the way, we’ll stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking traditional mountain villages and beautiful valleys. After crossing the mountains, we’ll continue toward Telouat, where you can explore its historic kasbah before continuing toward Ait Ben Haddou.

   At Ait Ben Haddou, you’ll have time to explore the historic ksar and admire its traditional earthen architecture. We then continue to Ouarzazate, where we’ll visit the famous film studios if time allows before checking into your hotel for the night.

2. Day 2

   Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – and Tafraout sidi Ali

   The afternoon takes us along desert tracks connected with the legendary Paris-Dakar route, crossing wide-open landscapes and acacia-covered plains. We eventually reach Tafraoute Sidi Ali, where we’ll spend the night in a local accommodation.

3. Day 3

   Tafraout sidi Ali – Ramlia then to Merzouga

   The scenery changes between rocky desert, dry riverbeds, small settlements, and vast open plains. This less-traveled route provides a genuine glimpse into southeastern Morocco away from the main tourist roads.

   Later, we arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll meet your camel caravan. Ride across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun begins to set before reaching your desert camp. Enjoy dinner, traditional music, and a peaceful night beneath the stars.

4. Day 4

   Merzouga – Todra gorge and Dades Valley

   Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara before breakfast. Afterward, we’ll leave Merzouga and begin our journey toward Dades Valley.

   We’ll pass through Rissani and Erfoud before continuing through the Tafilalt oasis. After a lunch stop, we’ll head toward Tinghir and the impressive Todra Gorge, where you can walk between the towering canyon walls.

   Our journey continues toward Dades Valley, where you’ll check into a comfortable riad and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of southern Morocco.

5. Day 5

   Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait ben haddou

   After breakfast, we’ll continue our 6 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga through the beautiful landscapes of southern Morocco. We’ll travel toward Skoura, an oasis famous for its palm groves and historic kasbahs.

   We’ll visit Amredil Kasbah, one of the most impressive examples of traditional architecture in the region. From there, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate and visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah with a local guide.

   Later, we’ll arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, where you’ll have time to explore the famous ksar and enjoy the surrounding scenery. We’ll spend the night in the area.

6. Day 6

   Ait ben haddou – Atlas Mountains then Marrakech
