Itinerary: 10 days Morocco Desert tour from Casablanca

1. Day 1

   Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Transfer to Your Accommodation

   Welcome to Morocco! Your 10-day Morocco desert tour from Casablanca begins with a private airport transfer to your accommodation. After meeting your driver, you can settle into your hotel and relax after your journey.

   If your arrival time allows, you can also explore part of Casablanca, including the Corniche or the area around the Hassan II Mosque. The evening is free to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

2. Day 2

   Casablanca – Marrakech Sightseeing with Local Guide

   After breakfast, we leave Casablanca and travel south toward Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most fascinating cities. Once we arrive, you’ll meet your local guide and begin exploring the historic medina.

   The guided visit can include the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, traditional souks, Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square. After the tour, you’ll have some free time to enjoy Marrakech at your own pace before spending the night in a traditional riad.

3. Day 3

   Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

   After breakfast, the landscape begins to change as we leave Marrakech behind and head toward the High Atlas Mountains. We cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with opportunities to stop for photographs and enjoy views of mountain villages and valleys.

   Continue toward Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After exploring the kasbah, continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before reaching Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night.

4. Day 4

   Dades Valley – Todra Valley – Merzouga Sahara Desert

   Today takes you deeper into southern Morocco. After breakfast, we travel through the beautiful landscapes surrounding Dades Valley before reaching Tinghir and the impressive Todra Gorge.

   Take a walk between the towering canyon walls before continuing through the desert landscapes toward Erfoud and Merzouga. In the afternoon, meet your camel guide and begin your trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset from the sands before arriving at your Sahara desert camp for dinner, music, and a night beneath the stars.

5. Day 5

   Merzouga Desert Adventure

   Wake up early for one of the most memorable moments of your Morocco desert tour, sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, we’ll explore the desert area by 4×4 and discover some of the communities and landscapes surrounding Merzouga.

   Visit a nomadic family and learn about their traditional way of life before continuing to Khamlia village to experience its famous Gnawa music. Later, return toward Merzouga and enjoy some free time around the dunes before spending another night in the desert area.

6. Day 6

   Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes

   After breakfast, we leave Merzouga and begin the journey north. We’ll pass through Rissani and Erfoud before reaching the spectacular Ziz Valley, where you’ll have the chance to admire the palm-filled oasis from a panoramic viewpoint.

   The road then climbs toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop in Ifrane, known for its distinctive architecture and mountain setting, before continuing to Fes. Arrive in the evening and check into your riad.

7. Day 7

   Fes Sightseeing Tour with Local Guide

   Today is dedicated to discovering Fes, one of Morocco’s most important cultural and historic cities. After breakfast, meet your local guide and explore the fascinating Fes Medina.

   Walk through narrow streets filled with traditional workshops and souks, visit historic Islamic schools, see the famous Chouara Tanneries, and discover the city’s architectural treasures. After the guided tour, enjoy some free time to explore or relax at your riad.

8. Day 8

   Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

   Leave Fes after breakfast and travel toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities. Explore the old city and see landmarks such as the impressive Bab Mansour before continuing toward Volubilis.

   At Volubilis, discover the remains of an ancient Roman settlement and admire its remarkably preserved mosaics and ruins. From there, continue through the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, where you’ll spend the evening surrounded by the famous blue-painted streets.

9. Day 9

   Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

   Enjoy the morning atmosphere of Chefchaouen and take some time to wander through its peaceful medina. The blue streets, small squares, local shops, and surrounding mountain scenery make it one of the most photogenic places in Morocco.

   Later, continue toward Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Visit highlights such as Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas before continuing to Casablanca for your final night.

10. Day 10

    Casablanca Sightseeing – Transfer to the Airport

    On the final morning, discover one of Casablanca’s most famous landmarks, the Hassan II Mosque, located beside the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on your flight time, there may also be an opportunity to enjoy a final walk through the city.

    Your private driver will then transfer you to Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport at the appropriate time for your departure. This marks the end of your 10-day Morocco desert tour from Casablanca, filled with cities, mountains, kasbahs, and unforgettable Sahara experiences.
