Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben haddou – Dades Gorges

   On the first day of the tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert, we will start at 8:00 a.m. by meeting you at your hotel. Our journey will take us through the Berber villages, including the village of Ait Ourir. In the Amazigh language, “Ait” means “people of” and it is a common prefix in Berber names. Afterward, we will begin our ascent into the High Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be Toufliht, where we can quench our thirst at a water source. Then we will continue along the road to Ouarzazate, which is known for its winding bends. We will pause at Tizi n Tichka to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of valleys and Berber villages. Next, we will descend to the village of Telouat and explore its historic Kasbah. We will then follow the valley to reach the village of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will also visit its historic Kasbah. Finally, we will make our way towards the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night.

2. Day 2

   Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Rissani – Merzouga

   On this day, we will traverse the stunning landscapes of Tinghir and Errachidia provinces. We will depart from the Dades Gorges and venture towards the Todra Valley gorges. Our first stop will be Boumalne Dades, where we can appreciate the beauty of the Dades Valley. We will then proceed to the palm grove of Todra and have lunch in the gorges.

   Afterward, we will make our way to Erfoud, a city famous for its fossils and dates. From there, we will continue towards Erg Chebbi, where we will meet our camel caravan guide, who will lead us to the Sahara camp. Witnessing the mesmerizing sunset over the sea of sand will undoubtedly be a highlight of your trip. We will conclude our evening with a Berber music performance around the campfire.

3. Day 3

   Merzouga – Draa Valley then Marrakech

   On the final day of our 3-day desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will have breakfast before embarking on our return journey with the caravan to the village of Merzouga. From there, we will reunite with our vehicle and begin our drive back to Marrakech, passing through Rissani, an ancient city in Tafilalt. As we continue our journey, we will reach Alnif, where we will have the opportunity to witness the largest valley in Africa. Our lunch break will be in the town of Ouarzazate. After lunch, we will proceed with our trip, traveling through the Atlas Mountains until we reach Marrakech to conclude our 3-day adventure to the Merzouga desert.
