Itinerary: 7 Days Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga

1. Day 1

   Arrival Marrakech – Transfer to Riad

   Welcome to Marrakech! Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, our driver will meet you and transfer you to your riad or hotel in the Medina.

   Once settled in, you can relax or take some time to explore the lively streets around Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and the surrounding souks.

   Overnight in Marrakech.

2. Day 2

   Marrakech Sightseeing Tour with Local Guide

   After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full-day exploration of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most fascinating imperial cities.

   Discover the historic Medina, beautiful Bahia Palace, traditional souks, and other important landmarks. You’ll also have time to experience the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where food stalls, shops, and local activity bring the city to life.

   The afternoon is free to enjoy Marrakech at your own pace.

3. Day 3

   Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Roses Valley – Dades Valley

   Today, the desert adventure begins. Leave Marrakech behind and cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

   Continue through scenic mountain valleys and traditional Berber villages before reaching Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most impressive kasbahs. Take time to explore its ancient streets and enjoy the surrounding views.

   Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara, before driving through the Skoura Oasis and the beautiful Valley of Roses.

   By evening, arrive in the Dades Valley, surrounded by dramatic rock formations and traditional kasbahs.

   Overnight in Dades Valley.

4. Day 4

   Dades Valley – Todra Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

   After breakfast, continue east through the spectacular landscapes of southern Morocco.

   Drive through the Todra Valley and stop at the impressive Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls create one of the most spectacular landscapes in the region.

   Continue towards Erfoud, famous for its fossils and desert scenery, before reaching Merzouga and the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

   In the afternoon, begin your camel trek across the Sahara Desert. Ride through the dunes while watching the changing colors of the landscape before stopping to admire the sunset.

   Arrive at your Sahara desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner, traditional music, and a peaceful evening beneath the stars.

5. Day 5

   Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

   Wake up early to experience a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes before enjoying breakfast at the camp.

   Afterwards, leave Merzouga and travel towards Rissani, an important historic town and former trading center. Depending on the day, you may have the opportunity to explore its traditional market.

   Continue through the Draa Valley, famous for its vast palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and beautiful desert landscapes.

   The route then takes you towards Ouarzazate, where you can relax after a day of exploring southern Morocco.

   Overnight in Ouarzazate.

6. Day 6

   Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

   After breakfast, continue your journey back towards Marrakech.

   If you did not have enough time to explore Ait Ben Haddou on Day 3, this is another opportunity to visit this remarkable UNESCO-listed kasbah and learn about its history and architecture.

   From there, cross the High Atlas Mountains once again, enjoying spectacular views along the winding mountain roads.

   Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon or early evening, with time to relax or explore the city independently.

   Overnight in Marrakech.

7. Day 7

   Free Time in Marrakech – Airport Transfer

   Enjoy a relaxed final morning in Marrakech. Depending on your flight time, you can explore the souks, enjoy a Moroccan breakfast, do some last-minute shopping, or simply relax at your riad.

   At the scheduled time, our driver will transfer you to Marrakech Menara Airport for your departure flight.
