Itinerary: 2 Days desert tour From Fes to Merzouga

  1. Day 1

    Fes – Midelt – Erfoud and Merzouga Desert

    Your journey begins in the morning with pickup from your accommodation in Fes. then Our 2 days desert tour from fes to merzouga starts, As we leave the cityof fes, the landscape quickly changes, taking us towards the forests and mountain roads of the Middle Atlas. We’ll pass through Ifrane and continue towards Midelt, with stops along the way to enjoy the scenery and take photographs.

    Beyond Midelt, the mountains become more rugged and the landscape gradually takes on a desert character. We’ll pass through Errachidia and follow the spectacular Ziz Valley, where green palm groves contrast beautifully with the surrounding rocky landscape. We then continue towards Erfoud and the Sahara.

    By afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where your camel trek begins. Follow the trail across the Erg Chebbi dunes and stop in the desert to watch the sun disappear behind the golden sand.

    After reaching the camp, enjoy dinner and an evening of traditional music around the fire. Away from the lights of the cities, the Sahara becomes incredibly quiet, giving you the perfect opportunity to look up at the stars before spending the night in your desert tent.

  2. Day 2

    Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Fes

    Start the morning early and make your way outside to watch the first light spread across the Merzouga dunes. Sunrise in the Sahara is one of the most memorable moments of the trip, especially when the desert is still completely peaceful.

    After breakfast, we’ll leave the camp and begin the return journey. We’ll travel towards Rissani, an important historic town in the Tafilalt region, before continuing through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley. Depending on the schedule, there will be opportunities to stop and explore or simply enjoy the changing scenery.

    From the desert region, the road gradually climbs back towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll pass through Midelt and continue north towards Fes, arriving in the city later in the day and bringing your 2 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Merzouga to an end.
