Itinerary: 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech

  1. Day 1

    Fes – Midelt – Merzouga Desert

    Your 3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech begins in the morning with pickup from your accommodation. We’ll leave Fes behind and travel through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane to enjoy its distinctive architecture and surrounding landscapes before continuing towards Midelt.

    From Midelt, the scenery gradually changes as we travel through the Ziz Valley and pass through Errachidia and Erfoud. Along the way, you’ll see dramatic mountains, rocky plateaus, and green palm oases appearing in the middle of the arid landscape.

    By afternoon, we’ll reach Merzouga, where your Sahara experience begins. You’ll meet your camel guide and ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes, stopping to enjoy the spectacular sunset before continuing to your desert camp.

    At the camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, relax around the campfire, and listen to local music beneath the stars. Tonight, you’ll sleep in the heart of the Sahara surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the dunes.

  2. Day 2

    Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra gorge – Dades gorge

    Wake up early to experience the beautiful Sahara sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, you can return from the camp by camel or 4×4 before meeting your driver and continuing towards Rissani, the historic heart of the Tafilalt region.

    From Rissani, we’ll continue through the changing landscapes of southeastern Morocco towards Todra Gorge. We’ll take time to explore this spectacular canyon on foot and enjoy the impressive cliffs before continuing towards Dades Valley.

    After a scenic drive through the valleys and villages, we’ll arrive in the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night. Enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Moroccan south.

  3. Day 3

    Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Atlas mountains – Marrakech

    After breakfast, we’ll leave Dades Valley and continue towards Ouarzazate, passing through the beautiful Valley of Roses and the palm-filled landscapes of Skoura. Depending on your interests and timing, we can stop at Kasbah Taourirt or the famous film studios.

    Our next major stop is Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most impressive historic kasbahs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take your time exploring its ancient streets, traditional architecture, and spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

    After lunch, we’ll begin the final part of the journey across the High Atlas Mountains, with opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints along the way. By late afternoon or evening, we’ll arrive in Marrakech, where your 3-day Fes to Marrakech desert adventure comes to an end.
